This is a great book!! If you are feeling badly about yourself and cannot seem to see how you will ever achieve your dreams, then you MUST read this book.
I have the hardback volume. I have kept this book on my shelf for years. As a child, I did not receive praise from my parents. In brief, I was surrounded by perfectionistic, critical, dysfunctional adults. My salvation was this book. I found it in my late twenties and it changed my life. But, I made one BIG mistake, I did not read the entire book. I just read enough to explain why I had such a poor internal feeling of self-worth. I thought if I understood why and whom was responsible,that I would be fine, but I wasn't. It was like putting a band aid on a child.
Now, I am in my early forties and facing the same problems again. Actually, my life is a pattern of repeated failures in both my career goals and my relationships. Yesterday, something made me remember this book, (the power of prayer). I found it still on my shelf, despite frequent re-locations. I started reading it again, tonight and said to myself,"Wow, no wonder I've kept this book! It explains everything!". Not only will it reveal the answers to your feelings of self-doubt and poor self-worth, it will give you the steps you need to conquer those feelings and move forward to positive, self-affirming feelings.
Trust me, this will be the best investment in time and money you will ever make. I am delighted to find that there is now a paperback edition, as I plan to purchase additional copies for friends, who are haunted with feelings of self-doubt and despair.

The author is very easy to read and humourous. He has a unique ability to draw one into the situations and give advice at the same time. Not a preachy book, but one full of ways to encourage and uplift the reader. The audio version is even better!! The author voice is especially pleasing and this is a good travel book - lighthearted with a profound message of wisdom and warmth. It leaves the reader refreshed and encourages a positive outlook.

My children love this math series!

I wasn't sure if I liked how this author approached math - it seemed so 'untraditional'. But the proof is in the pudding. My children love this series, and actually argue who gets to do math next! I supplement with flashcards and some Khan academy as well. I also use Teaching Textbooks, but I plan to buy every single Life of Fred book for them because it is their favorite math and helps with the concepts.

Side note: this particular copy (Cats) was printed upside down in the cover. Not a big deal, I just turn the book over to read it, but thought I would make a note.

Finding love in the library

When I read historical stories, I try to imagine being that woman. Rosalyn was a young woman with a true heart that is a wonderful match for the kind but stern, Lord Weston. She always told the truth, no matter the consequences. A very good short story that is oh so sweet but finishes with some heat! Spanking included. The only thing that would have made this story better - an epilogue.

Sue Lyndon is a favorite author to me, and she doesn't disappoint in HIS TO EDUCATE. This is my first medieval & she made me a fan! I loved how the h & h meet, with her sneaking about in the library, and in spite of Lord Weston being a strict, no-nonsense guy, he shows a tender side in the way he treats her. A sweet, romantic, and smouldering little book that can make an afternoon fly by!

I enjoyed this quick, sexy read. Rosalyn is an errant servant girl who's cornered by her hot and dominant master in the library. The result is a sweet story with hot discipline and a passionate love scene. Definitely looking forward to reading more by this author. This quickie whet my appetite!

Lesson summarizes by focus on not only to believe in Him but to also suffer for Him in a myrtar type of anticipation...rather than focusing on God's sustaining grace in the midst of afflictions, i.e. Peter 1: 7-9 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. and;
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Somewhat disappointing on the "focus". We should belive that God's plans for us are for good and not for evil, and not even able to compare any temporal suffering with the eternal aspects of heaven.

Very little to do about experiments on yoga nidra. It is just a collection of the author's reminiscenses on his intutive life. I was hoping for some information on the various methods the author adopted in reaching the state but alas there is none.

E.M. Prazeman is the author of The Lord Jester’s Legacy trilogy, fantasy intrigues set in an 18th century secondary world. Current projects include The Poisoned Past trilogy, of which the first book, Oubliette, was released in July 2015, and The Kilhellion, a classic sword and sorcery epic set on a world where humans and demons vie for dominion. E.M.’s many hobbies, including travel, sailing, art, music, belly dance, archery, gardening, and small acreage farming, often inform her writing. She uses writing as an excuse to do odd things like fire flintlock firearms and take a free historical fencing class whilst on vacation. She lives in the Pacific NW with her husband, author and conflict communications expert Rory Miller.

I love how the intrigues can be misinterpretted in so many different ways. It's one of the few books that can give a sense of foreboding via two character perspectives while keeping me guessing at the same time. Every character is multidimensional and likable in their own way, regardless of their standing with the protagonist. I'm not sure how I feel about the change in writing style. The style and wording in previous books featuring the lord jesters had an effect of transporting me (since I can't seak for other readers) into an older era of mysticism and courts. This newer style which uses modern day colloquiallism provides more vivid descriptions. Either way, the two jester series are a great find. It has the sentimentalism and the plot to keep me hooked. I look forward to book two of The Poisoned Past.

About the Author

Karsten Herr has studied brewing technology and mechanical engineering. He has worked for many years as an operations and production manager and as a commissioning engineer. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelance consulting engineer, training and coaching production companies. He supports production companies of all sectors, in discrete as well as in continuous industries. Projects on which he has worked range from complete production restructuring via optimizing individual value streams to one-off training courses on different topics on process and workplace organization.

He has specialized in the analysis of set-up procedures on machines and processes and the drafting of quick changeover concepts. He is regularly supporting companies with open and in-house workshops and analysis of set-ups and drafting of solutions for quick changeovers as well as running improvement projects of various scopes.

He also works as a lecturer at various universities and professional academies, where he teaches courses on organization and structuring of business processes, systems engineering and systems behavior, production organization and factory planning, and production optimization. His main focus is on Lean, TOC, TPM, QRM, and Six Sigma (Certified Black Belt).

He is has a master�s degree in management and organization from the TiasNimbas Business School, one of Europe�s top business schools.

Don't waste your money

Horrible book: big waste of money. It's written like a college term paper. It assumes you are already familiar with the material and provides a basic summary of how lean interactions work (but in the vaguest terms possible). There are no tips or guidelines on how to use Lean concepts at all, no examples to explain concepts, and no outlines of what you should actually do. By any other book than this, if you want to get useful knowledge (beginner, or advanced) about Lean.

This book is clearly NOT an introduction to the topic and is written for engineers who are familiar with the topic and need more in depth information. It was exactly the book we were looking for and we could apply several ideas to make our changeover shorter. Five stars from us!

I just found out today that there are more than two pages to this thing. How the freak am I supposed to play this if I have to keep stopping to go back to the first page, turn to the second AGAIN, and end up here where I go back got the first page and start over again???
Do you know how difficult that is when you have a violin in one hand and a bow in the other and cats who want to kill the bow if it's put down????

Other than that bull s*** I have enjoyed the music part of this.

Executive Outcomes is the model on which all Private Military Companies (PMCs) operating in Iraq and Afghanistan are based. Founder Eeben Barlow in the early 1990s originally offered courses in intelligence to South Africa's Special Forces and security work to De Beers' diamond mining industry. This was greatly expanded in 1993 when an oil company offered EO a contract to provide security for its staff while they recovered valuable drilling equipment stranded at the Angolan oil port of Soyo - after its capture by UNITA rebels. Barlow recruited ex-members of South Africa's elite military units for the job. EO was contracted for a month, but this ended up being extended and EO spearheading an Angolan Army assault on Soyo and its capture from UNITA. This highly successful operation led to a contract to retrain the Angolan Army. Both UNITA and MPLA had taken part in UN supervised elections in 1992, but UNITA had rejected the results after losing and it had returned to civil war. During a hard-fought campaign, retrained Angolan Army units led by EO captured Cafunfu - the diamond producing area that funded UNITA's war effort. Eventually, international pressure spearheaded by the UN and the 'blood diamond' lobby, forced EO's withdrawal from Angola which quickly sank back into chaos. EO's next contract was in May 1995 when 200 men were despatched to Sierra Leone where RUF rebels, chopping off people's limbs and engaging in cannibalism, were marching on Freetown. EO smashed the rebels and this led to free and fair elections with a new government being elected. Pressures were again exerted which resulted in EO's withdrawal. In the place of its 200 troops the UN deployed 18 000 soldiers at a cost of US$1 billion per year. Good Informative Reading

Mr. Barlow's book is an excellent source of information on his company and its operations in the 1990's. While not always grammatically correct, the book nevertheless conveys a true picture of the firm and explodes many of the myths and untruths that have been circulated about it. For any reader interested in private military companies this book is a must have.
