So I started to read what other people had written. I looked at one famous text book published by Gower. In the index "quality" had two page references. So I looked at both. Both just said that project managers need to manage time, cost and quality. Although chapters were devoted to time and cost, nothing was said about quality on projects. Although a substantial amount has been written about managing quality on projects now, including in my books such as the Gower Handbook of Project Management, there is still much less than has been written on cost and time. Renate Motschnig is a professor at the University of Vienna, Austria, and has held positions in Europe and Canada and participated in numerous events based on the person-centred approach. Being deeply interested in the multiple ways in which understanding and significant whole-person learning happen, she has published more than 140 international articles. Ladislav Nykl is a person-centred psychotherapist running a private practice and holding doctorates in psychology from the Charles' University in Prague, Czech Republic, and the University of Vienna, Austria, and a master in economics. About the Author

Sabine Roeser is Professor of Political Philosophy and Ethics at Twente University (Socrates Chair, part-time), Associate Professor of Ethics at TU Delft, and managing director of the 3TU.Centre for Ethics and Technology. She has been trained in fine arts, philosophy and political science, with a PhD in ethical theory. She has obtained various prestigious research grants for her innovative research on risk and moral emotions. She currently leads a research group on ‘Moral Emotions and Risk Politics’. She is regularly interviewed for popular media in the Netherlands. She has organized many international conferences. Roeser has given more than 100 presentations at international conferences and other academic events. Roeser has published numerous articles in e.g. The Journal of Value Inquiry, The Journal of Risk Research and Science and Engineering Ethics. Roeser has (co-)edited the following books: Emotions and Risky Technologies, Springer (2010), Thomas Reid on Ethics, Palgrave Macmillan (2010), The Ethics ofTechnological Risk, Earthscan (2009), and Basic Belief and Basic Knowledge: Papers inEpistemology, Ontos (2005). Rafaela Hillerbrand is head of the research group Ethics for Energy Technology. Before joining HumTec Rafaela Hillerbrand was working as a senior research fellow at the University of Oxford on epistemological and ethical problems for decions under risk and uncertainty. Hillerbrand's research traverse epistemological problems related to the interpretations of probabilities, quantitative modelling, and foundational aspect of statistical mechanics. Hillerbrand holds a PhD in theoretical physics as well as a PhD in philosophy. For her book on the ethics of technology, which covers aspects of applied ethics just as well as genuine theoretical normative ethics, she received the Lilli-Bechmann-Rahn-Preis of the University Erlangen Nürnberg in 2005. Her PhD in physics was awarded the Ingrid-zu-Solms Naturwissenschaftspreis 2008. She is an elected member of the German Young Academy of Sciences (Junge Akademie).

Per Sandin received his PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, in 2005 on a thesis entitled Better Safe than Sorry: Applying Philosophical Methods to the Debate on Risk and the Precautionary Principle. He has mainly worked in applied ethics and topics on risk and policy, and his work has appeared in journals such as Human and Ecological Risk Assessment, Philosophia, Journal of Risk Research and Ethical Theory and Moral Practice. Between 1999 and 2005 he was editorial assistant of Theoria and associate editor for the same journal between 2005 and 2007.  Martin Peterson is author of two books, An Introduction to Decision Theory (Cambridge University Press, 2009) and Non-Bayesian Decision Theory (Springer, 2008). He has published about 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Risk Analysis, the Journal of Philosophy, and the Journal of Risk Research. Peterson received his PhD in philosophy in 2003 from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He is currently an associate professor of philosophy at Eindhoven University of Technology. Between 2005 and 2008 he worked for three years at the University of Cambridge, where he was a Research Fellow in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science and Director of Studies in Philosophy at St Edmund's College. He has also held teaching and research positions at the Royal Institute of Technology and at Lulea University of Technology.

I really like where the author Jeremie Kubicek is coming from with this self help book. He concentrates on your strength and also highlights how communication may be misunderstood based on the 5 voices. As self explanatory as the book's title, Jeremie talks about how we (people) fit into 5 categories. With the first 3 chapters, you'll be taught the definition of what the 5 voices are. By here, you would have taken down notes on which voice(s) define you the most. In the following 5 chapters, he goes into details about the 5 voices (Nurturer, Creative, Guardian, Connector, and Pioneer). This is where you learn the strengths and weaknesses of the different voices and also how to interpret them. By now, you can start to identify people's voices based on the examples described in the book. This part has really been helpful because you can now associate the 5 voices with people you know. Finally some knowledge that you can apply to how you lead your team or simple communication with people you work closely with.

Before I give too much more away from the book, I like the fact that this book highlights a part of your personality that's unlikely to change. Unlike the Myers Briggs personality test, that only takes a snapshot of your personality at a given time. That could change year over year and definitely decade over decade as our life experience shape the way we react. But your strongest voice which you've defined and refined over the years is unlikely to change. This is just how we're wired.

As with all books of this nature, it doesn't give you definite answers, but guidelines based on a person's character and perceived voice. But it opens up your mind to a different aspect making you a better person. If you're bold enough as some people are (described in the book), I would pass this book around to your team members and have them learn about the 5 voices. This could easily resolve communication issues by providing common ground.

About the Author
Rose Callahan is a photographer and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from San Francisco, California, Rose made her way to the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn in 1999 to pursue photography. In 2008, she began The Dandy Portraits: The Lives of Exquisite Gentlemen Today (which became a blog in 2010) as a personal project to tell the nuanced story of extreme masculine elegance alive today. Rose found that the dandies of today are not a cohesive subculture or creed; rather, each man is a fiercely independent arbiter of what it means to be a gentleman and to live with style.

Nathaniel "Natty" Adams is a New York-based writer and manager of the Against Nature menswear atelier. His NYU undergraduate thesis was on 20th Century Dandyism and, as a student at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, he wrote a book proposal on the history of Dandyism, for which he won the prestigious Lynton Fellowship. Adams used the grant money to travel through America, Europe, and Africa meeting and interviewing the best-dressed men in the world.

I pre-ordered this book as soon as I heard about it! I am glad that it is largely pictorial and more on personality. Too many "dandy" guides focus on only cut and clothing. That said, this book is a compilation of vignettes of modern men purporting to be dandies. Some are more in the spirit of the 19th century dandy, frequenting Savile Row to buy their suits and interested in tailoring and traditional menswear. Others push the definition of the dandy to the extreme, bordering on camp and pop culture cosplay, a Japanese "English" portmanteau of "costume play." These dandies are theatrically eccentric. But are they dandies? This book goes to show that the definition of "dandyism" depends on the dandy in question. Some dandies consider their clothing as a part of self-presentation while others regard their clothing as part of playing dress-up, complete with posturing and artifice. The dandy is as much clothing as the lifestyle and attitude. It's fun to see each man in his own expression of dandyism which, even in its 19th century roots, is an expression of the individual. If one wants a scholarly history of the dandy, one can read Ellen Moers' classic inquiry from 1960 or the modern updated analysis by Nigel Rodgers from 2012. "I Am Dandy," has funny and pretty pictures.

Well produced and beautifully photographed, this book helps define the 'New Dandy " movement that has been spawned and supported by the various I-gent fora online. A wide range of approaches, fro ther relatvie conservatism of G. Bruce Boyer to more extreme ways of dressing.

For those who love clothing, or anyone interested in popular culture..this one is a gem!

Paganism and Ken Wilber?

This is the first book I've read that uses Ken Wilber, Spiral Dynamics and James Fowler to help Christians and Pagans to understand their religions and the value of an inclusive path. I like the authors' own identity of the different levels of the evolution of the self/consciousness/faith: They call it mythic tangible, mythic literal, mythic rational, mythic global, mythic archetypal, and mythic avatar. They see it as the change of your understanding of myths of your religion. When one is on the last three levels you become more inclusive of other views and that is why they see ChristoPaganism as an inclusive path. Inclusivity to the authors means that you can accommodate other spiritual practices in your own path, like earth-based religious rites and Christian liturgy. Their deconstruction of Christian beliefs is an eye opener and should be studied by all Christians. The authors include a series of questions under the heading; My Journal, to help the reader with his/her own understanding and growth. It might not be a comfortable read to many readers, but if you're serious about your spiritual growth in Christiaanity or Paganism, this is a book for you. I have their other two books on order and I am looking forward to read more of their insights.

The title says it all

This book describes the concepts of how christian and pagan holidays and ceromonies are more the same than evangelist would admit like christmas/yule easter/ostara. I also recomend it for someone like me who wants to convert to druidry but not give up Christ. This has some ideas for blending the new with the old.

challenging and very well written

I was at first daunted by this book which challenged me theologically but then I realized most of the ideas about the historical Jesus and the cosmic universal Christ I agreed with. I do think the section about the birth of Jesus and trying to relate Jesus to Johoshua Ben Pandira was contrived but the main dilemma here was the question of the birthright of the historic Jesus and what always interested me more was the spiritual Christ who is indeed part of the focus of this book. The sections on the interviews were fascinating and held my interest more than anything. Besides that I liked the exercises which make you think. Overall a very good book on a subject which needs to be talked about. As a progressive christian I have taken most of my beliefs from Christianity and Wicca both and I will continue to study this book
